We started off out of Canberra, a balmy April morning. Wet and warm, into Sydney. A quick trip through customs and with a couple of hours to spare settled into breakfast in the lounge.

We enjoy the pre flight time, sitting, relaxing, getting into the relaxed zone.

Before we know it, we are on board the 747 heading to HK.

A great flight, some nice food, a couple of episodes of a Suits, a sleep, a snack and voila. We arrive.

A little over 9 hours later we are landing into the amazing airport in HK. A seamless transition sees us in the hotel courtesy car, a brand new Tesla, about 25 minutes after we land.

We arrive 40 minutes later at our hotel. The Icon in Kowloon. We are greeted curb side, escorted to our room, checked in, in our room, using an iPad and showed around. Complimentary macaroons, M and Ms and sparkling water. This little oasis we discovered in 2012. 28 stories with views of the harbour and Hong Kong island. Amazing service, exquisite room and a lounge you can relax in enjoying a champers overlooking the harbour. After we arrive, we wander up to the lounge and joy a drink and some snacks. We settle into the plush lounges with the lights of HK before us dazzling off the harbour. Big city, bright lights, our way to relax.

We finally drag ourselves off to our room. Bring on tomorrow.
