As part of the trip to Stonehenge, we also stopped off in Bath.
The highlight of the day was a visit to the Roman Baths. Still standing as they did some 2,000 years ago.
The Uk sure does have a way of preserving its history. We visit a Salisbury Cathedral and see the oldest working mechanical clock still in operation.
The World’s Oldest Working Clock: The Cathedral’s turret clock, which has no face, dates from before 1386 and stood in the bell tower on the North lawn until the tower was demolished. It continued to operate in the Cathedral tower until the late 19th century, was restored to working order in 1956 now stands in the North Nave aisle.

We wander the streets of Bath, absorbing the history and marvelling and bow sometimes time stands still.
We hop back on the bus and head off to Stonehenge.
