We head off early again, to both beat the heat and pack in as much as possible.  We catch the subway to Central Park and wander, enjoying the cool breeze under the canopy of the trees as we wander in and around this peaceful space. The park is starkly different to what we saw when we were last here, at the end of Fall/Autumn.  There is no leaf litter on the ground, the trees, bushes and shrubbery are all in full foliage and bloom. The grasslands areas are covered with holiday makers and locals enjoying he bright sunny day and warm sunshine.

We visit Still Hunt. He isn’t easy to find, but we get there in the end.

Still entranced by his steely stare as he overlooks runners and walkers who pass, some without even noticing him.  He sits atop his rock in a frozen forever pose assessing his prey, waiting to pounce, waiting to pounce. We ait in the shade opposite for a while.

As we conclude our walk we visit the Neue Gallery and Guggenheim Museum, both along 5th Avenue. Both offer a wealth of interesting exhibits.  The Guggenheim especially, with is curved exterior, mirrored inside as you walk to the very top and wind you way down along the gallery in one continues curved walkway.

We enjoy lunch inside the museum and visit the gift shop for a few gifts. We head home and enjoy some more of Jon’s delicious pizza, this time we get it takeaway and head back to our room.
