We were very lucky to score a table at Per Se for lunch this trip. They only have lunch twice a week and we were very much looking forward to a nice lunch.

We headed out at about 11 and caught the train to Columbus Circle.

Columbus a Circle is at the point of Central Park and the time warner centre overlooks the park, Per Se is located on the top floor. Before going to lunch we wandered through the shopping centre and looked at the view over looking the park. It was a dull and overcast day, but quite warm.

We made our way up stairs to the restaurant and were seated. We had a lovely table in the upper area and had a decent view of the park and the raring wood fire in the centre of the restaurant.

We enjoyed a delicious eight course tasting menu over a three hour period. Although dessert in itself was about five courses and we had two Amuse Bouches before the meal started. In all about thirteen course. The meal was spectacular with exquisite small dishes featuring a range of tastes.

Dessert comprised mini chocolates, mini ice cream scoops, mini donuts, mini macarons, mini semi fredo coffee, cookies and chocolates to take home.

After lunch we decided to split up for a while and do some shopping on our own.

A couple of hours later we met up back at the hotel and decided on a night in. The rain had set in and we didn’t heed any more food.
