We stay pretty local today and walk up and down 5th Avenue. We start with Brunch at a little café on 45th. Mardi has eggs benedict and I have a breakfast burger. We sit for a while and reflect on the last few days.

We continue our walk after brunch. Every hour or so we stop to administer eye drops. It must look weird two people standing in a corner somewhere, one crouching while the other puts eye drops in. But then its New York, nothing is weird! We aren’t playing a guitar in our undies in Times Square!

We decide it’s time for chocolate, so we visit the Lindt Store. Thisi is easy, all I have to do is look down and the bins are full of chocolates. We buy three one kilo bags and two for free! What the hell are we going to do with five kilos of Lindt Lindor chocolate balls!

We know!  So we head home and have a quiet afternoon sampling way too much chocolate.

Because of my eye we’ve had to slow down our trip. Normally we are always on the go and spend 12 to 14 hours on the go every day. Not this trip. With my sight still effected by the surgery and the constant barrage of drops, visually it’s not fun. Add to this need to just look down everywhere, I’m not really enjoying myself. But we make the most of it. Short outings, interesting walks and Mardi as commentator keeps the interest levels high.
