After a lazy morning we decided to take a stroll through Central Park.

Before we headed up to the park I went for a walk around our area, Mardi continued the packing and got ready for our walk.

It was a freezing cold day, but the sun was shining. The temp was about 6 degrees with a chill factor making it feel like below zero. We rugged up and caught the train up to about 80 street, halfway up the park. We spent about two and a half hours walking around, just taking in the sights, stopping to watch dogs or squirrels play. Empire the cold the squirrels are very active running around, collecting nuts and chasing each other.

We stopped off at Still Hunt, and weaved our way across the park from west to east and slowly back again down to Columbus Circle. It’s a magical place and each time we visit we discover new walkways, new statues and interesting views.

We left the park at Columbus Circle and were starving, time for a burger. We walked down to 57th and visited Bareburger. They offer a range of sustainable and welfare friendly burgers, and the onion rings and sauces are something else. We sat and warmed up for a while and enjoyed our lunch/dinner.

We contemplated walking home after dinner, but it was getting colder and we’d already walked a lot do we headed for the subway.

We picked up a hot chocolate in Times Square before heading in for the night. A busy day tomorrow with an early start. Another visit, the fourth, to the eye surgeon tomorrow. Then some last minute shopping and maybe a visit to Bosie.
