After a leisurely breakfast we headed for Ginza. A 30 minute train ride to an area where one part resembles New York’s fifth avenue and another the back streets of Hong Kong.

We started walking the wide Avenue, high street brands glided by, Cartier, Bulgaria, Tiffany among others. We then hit the back streets. Popping into tiny stores from stationery to art supplies, toys to knock knicks and everything in between.

We had lunch at a cafe above Etoya, a nine level stationery store. After lunch we walked the nine floors checking out everything from cat trinkets to million dollar pens.

After lunch we wandered a bit more and located the 100% chocolate cafe. Delicious hot chocolate and some great flavors. Yum.

Foot weary and carrying a few bags of shopping we decided to head for home.

We boarded a train and headed for home.

We’ve pretty much worked out the labyrinth that is Shinjuku station, if that is at all possible. We’ve identified a few touch points which get us where we need to go. But I swear if we closed our eyes and spun around three times we’d be lost again.

We arrived home around 7pm and sat in the lounge. After a couple of hours we called it a night.
