We ride the subway up to 61st St and 3rd Avenue in search of Serendipity 3. Serendipity 3 is a cafe/restaurant that featured in the movie Serendipity. Its claim to fame is a frozen hot chocolate. When we arrive there is a bit of a queue, so we put our name down and wait. This is something you do in New York. There are so many people that queuing and waiting is part and parcel for the day.
We are ushered to a table about 25 minutes later. Upstairs. Our waitress informs us that the table we are at is the one where filming took place in the movie. Weird, that no one else was seated here, or just luck. If it is lucky to sit at a table a random actor sat at some 12 years ago!
Anyway we enjoy the delicious desserts and some food, a foot long hot dog goes down very nicely.
We wander around this part of town for a while after we finish our sugar coma inducing desserts.
