We made arrangements to meet Bob for lunch followed by a behind the scenese tour of the Woolworth building. The day greeted us cold and wet, so we didn’t do anything before heading to City Hall park to meet Bob.

When we caught up Bob took us for a walk around the World Trade Centre precinct and across to the new Hudson Eats

A really cool eatery with some great food and views of the Hudson River. We popped into Bob’s daughters place and said hi to Cari. Grabbed an umbrella and continued walking the area back to the Woolworth building.

We then enjoyed a fascinating tour of the lower levels of the building. It’s generally closed to the public, so we were treated to some rarely seen areas, which were pretty cool.

Bob enthralled the group with his knowledge of the history of the building and the personalities involved in building it and making sure it remains in place today.

After the tour we enjoyed a muffin and hot chocolate.

Bob then went his way and we ventured into Century 21.

We picked up a few bargains, designer ties for $10, mardi got some Calvin Klein suits for a fraction of the retail price. We then headed home. The rain had stopped and we had dinner plans.

After a rest at home we then wandered eight blocks to NYCs best steak restaurant, Keens Steakhouse. Just amazing steaks, amazing.

After dinner we walked home, in the rain. It was a nice walk, the rain was light and it wasn’t too cold.
