This morning we are keen to see if there is any snow on the ground in Central Park. It’s still very cold so we rug up and had out. We catch the subway to 59th Street and enter a familiar part of the park. This part of Central Park, the lower South East is always full of people. You can take a horse ride from here, get your picture painted, pick up an image of the Park or any number of other touristy things. We pass all this and enter the Park.

The Park is still beautifully covered in snow in various parts. I don’t know what it is but people often describe snow as magical. I wonder if our pilot last night landing at JFK thought the snow was magical as he did what must have been very difficult!

We venture more deeply into the Park and explore form 59th Street up and across to 85th Street, where we exit on the Western side. We walk down to 79th and turn right heading over to Broadway. On our way we pass a preserved Banksy. A little boy using a hammer to hit a fire hydrant. It is covered in plexiglass as a company known as Zabars tries to preserve this and other pieces of artwork by Banksy.

We continue on our way to Broadway. We discover another art installation by Kathy Ruttenberg. This one is called “in dreams awake”. A series of sculptures has been placed along Broadway. The one we see is a large mouse, Minnie Mouse. We admire the sculpture before entering the subway nearby and heading downtown.

We arrive in Greenwich and follow our nose to Bosie. We’ve become quite familiar with this part of Manhattan, so locating Bosie in the windy streets isn’t difficult.

We arrive and are seated. Jessica comes over and says a big hello to us.  She says it must have only been a few months since we’ve visited. Nope, it’s been two years! The little tea shop hasn’t changed at all. Still delightful. Still quaint. Still delicious tea. Still our favourite place in NYC. We sit and enjoy the space for a couple of hours before heading home.

As we leave the air is icy cold and the wind is blowing, its about 5.00pm.. We head back into Greenwich and SoHo for a look at the shops. After a while we catch the subway and head home.

Later than night we have a quick dinner at he Times Square Diner, burgers and a couple of drinks.
