Another early start, another flight, another two airports. The story of this trip is travel. And I am starting to feel it. Although I test negative to COVID, I have a wicked cough and heavy chest. If I was home, I’d be home. But I’m 15,000Kms from home and need to get some stuff done. So I head off for the 90 minute flight to meet with colleagues at the CNIB – Canadian Institute for the Blind.

John their CEO, and I hit it off straight away. A cricket and rugby loving Pom, starved of good cricket and rugby in North America, John is eager to talk sport. In between all the sport talk we get a lot done and share our experiences, I undertake a full tour of the site, meet a number of staff and talk a lot about our commercial activities. I spend time with their library team, alternate format and their retail team.

After a full afternoon of meetings a few of us go out to dinner, where we talk international politics, and the politics of Canada, as well as a fair amount of sport. Its a great night.

I return exhausted to my hotel room, pondering what to do with my last day in North America tomorrow.
