A lazy morning followed by a James Bond type interactive exhibit called Spyscape filled much of our morning and early afternoon. Spyscape is in a sleek and modern building in the heart of Manhattan, you’ll be greeted by the SPYSCAPE logo and an air of mystery. Stepping inside, you’ll find yourself in a dynamic and high-tech environment designed to ignite your curiosity and test your skills.

The entrance area sets the tone, featuring interactive displays showcasing the history and impact of espionage throughout the years. You’ll see artifacts, surveillance equipment, and captivating stories of real-life spies, both past and present.

After we purchased our ticket, we proceeded to the briefing area where we received our unique identity as a visitor. This identity, represented by a personalised RFID wristband, tracked our progress through the exhibits and challenges.

Next, we enter the immersive Spy Profile station. Here, we answered a series of questions that revealed our strengths and traits, determining the type of spy we would be. This information will come into play later during the interactive experiences.

Once your Spy Profile is complete, it’s time to embark on our mission. We moved through a series of interactive galleries and installations, each dedicated to a different aspect of espionage. Along the way, we encounter challenges, puzzles, and simulations that test our skills in observation, agility, code-breaking, and decision-making.

SPYSCAPE also features a Spy Museum, where you can explore a collection of rare artifacts, such as spy gadgets, encrypted documents, and historical spy tools. The museum offers a deeper understanding of the history and evolution of espionage.

After completing the challenges and exploring the exhibits, we reach the Debriefing area. Here, we have the opportunity to analyse our performance, compare it with other visitors, and reflect on the skills we’ve developed during our visit.

It was pretty awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly no photos we allowed.

We took it easy for the afternoon before seeing a play called “The Play That Went Wrong”. “The Play That Went Wrong” is an absolute hoot of a show! We had the pleasure of attending this uproarious production on Broadway, and it had us in stitches from start to finish.

The premise of the play revolves around a fictional amateur dramatic society attempting to put on a murder mystery production. But let me tell you, everything that could go wrong did go wrong in the most splendidly chaotic and hilarious manner. From missed cues to malfunctioning props, and actors constantly tripping over themselves (sometimes quite literally), the whole performance was an absolute shambles in the best possible way.

One of the highlights of “The Play That Went Wrong” is the impeccable timing and physical comedy. The talented ensemble cast executed each mishap with sheer precision, expertly exaggerating their comedic antics to generate riotous laughter. The timing of the dialogue, physical gags, and sight gags was spot-on, creating a continuous flow of humour that had the audience in stitches throughout.

All in all, “The Play That Went Wrong” is an absolute riot of laughter. It wholeheartedly embraces chaos, revels in its imperfections, and delivers an evening of pure comedic joy. If you’re seeking a side-splittingly funny Broadway experience that will leave you in fits of laughter, “The Play That Went Wrong” is an absolute must-see. Prepare to laugh until your sides ache and relish an evening of theatrical pandemonium that will leave you with a beaming smile long after the curtains draw to a close.
