After a hectic week – well hectic for a holiday – we needed a holiday from our holiday.

Although it started at 4am for me. Australia were playing India in the cricket world cup final. I was able to watch the game on the Nine Network from Australia. Thanks VPN!

I did sneak in a couple of snoozes – while India let the game slip away and at the change of innings. I watched Australia chase the runs down, whist in the history books it will look like an easy win, but games at this level in India are never easy to win.

After the game we took it easy in our room for the afternoon. We both have weary feet and legs and plenty of yummy food to snack on.

We venture out at around 7pm for a walk through Times Square on our way to dinner at Toloache. It’s a lively Mexican restaurant we’ve been to in the past.

We enjoy dips, ceviche and tacos. Whilst enjoyable, it seems four years on Toloache isn’t what it used to be. The tacos are a little mushy and the usual vibe isn’t there.

After dinner we walk back through Times Square. It’s busy. It’s Sunday night before Thanksgiving, which is Thursday. The accents in Times Square have moved from European and Asian to a lot more North American. People are travelling from all over the country and many are coming to New York. We pop into Krispy Kreme for dessert, grab a few donuts and wander homes.
