I’m a big Hamilton fan. Have been for years. As part of our annual pilgrimage to New York City, I’ve tried numerous times to secure tickets to the show. I’ve never been successful. When I went to Boston in 2019, I did a couple of Hamilton/Revolutionary war related tours while I studied at Harvard Business School.

When it was announced Hamilton was coming to Sydney, I thought this was my chance to see it.

We booked tickets in July 2021 and September 2021. As everyone now knows, COVID put a lot of people’s plans on hold. So we waited. Finally on December 10 We got to see it.

Coupled with the Hamilton visit, we also spent time with my brother David and his wife, Kerrie. Visited a few relatives as part of an annual Christmas gathering and enjoyed some walking around Sydney. We also had a sumptuous diner at WoodCut at Barangaroo with David, Kerrie and our good friends, Kathryn and Michael.

It was a great few days. Early December in Sydney: the weather is great, the pre Christmas rush of people was all around and it seemed COVID was behind us again. Or was it!

We shopped in Pitt St, Market St, George St. Walked to the Quay and walked around the Rocks and Barangaroo.

We saw Hamilton, it was amazing!

Dinner at Woodcut was something else. Check out the photos of the menus below!

We ventured out to Glenmore Park, Penrith for a family get together. We caught up with dad, my other brothers, Ben and Robert and rekindled old times with relatives we hadn’t seen in ages.

All in all a great visit.
